A well planned detour on the way to Luxembourg took us to Vianden, Luxembourg where we saw the most amazing, storybook castle high above the town.
We walked around the grounds and had a look inside. It’s an amazing feeling being in a building so old and imagining what it would have been like to live there. Unfortunately, the majority of the time I spent wandering, all I could imagine is how unbelievably cold it would be and how on earth someone could stand such a thing. I think I will stick with modern luxuries!
