For Christmas, we made our way down to South Africa for an African Safari. I was not really sure what to expect or even if I would like it (being out in the middle of nowhere with huge bugs and all) but it turned out to be one of the most amazing adventures ever.
The landscape was like nowhere I have been before with huge shady trees, bushes with nail sized thorns, and purple petunias scattered here and there. The weather was wet, cold and miserable one day and then unbearably hot the next. But most of all, the wildlife was just beyond breathtaking. From the tiny termites to the enormous elephants, its truly amazing how all work together in perfect harmony. It really makes you realize that life is going on all around you. South Africa makes you relax and just enjoy the world as it is.
Rhinoceros hunting, morning tea with Giraffes, black, yellow and blue spiders the size of your hand, a passing herd of 33 elephants big and small, dinner with beetles the size of eggs, lions feasting on buffalo, escaping an elephant stampede, and young leopards playing are a handful of the things that made this trip so memorable.
No amount of text could really do this holiday justice, so enjoy some of my favorite shots.
Are these really all your pics…fantabulous!
Yes they are! Thanks!
