When we pulled up to this castle I ran out of the car expecting a fully restored and well kept castle much like most of the ones in Belgium. However, I was seriously disappointed as I walked across the draw bridge to a ruin. Despite my disappointment, Havré is still quite amazing. What remains of this building is quite simple, but worth seeing regardless. The huge moat that surrounds the castle was home to a few little ducklings this summer and the colors were amazing. Not bad place to stretch your legs on a road trip!
