Brugge is on my list of favorite cities in Europe. A lot more fun than I had anticipated after hearing it described as the Venice of the north. However, I will say that Brugge is nothing like Venice, apart from the few canals in the city – and to me, that is a good thing.
The cobblestone streets, the beautiful facades and the zig zag roofs are much like the rest of Belgium, but unlike Antwerp and Brussels, Brugge has a little bit of its own charm.
